Rick Simcox, a native Detroiter, moved to Chicago in 1997 where the Blues immersion would take it's hold. In 2005, he formed the basic ToneQuesters unit and would later recruit many of Chicago's notable Blues personnel. In 2009, Rick's independent CD release of "TREAT YOU BABY" [co-produced with Dave Specter] touted a variety of Blues styles through both studio and live performances. CHICAGO BLUES GUIDE calls Rick Simcox "a talented new face on the Blues scene....the [CD] songs are upbeat, moody, gritty..........That's the blues!".
